FAQs
Answers to common questions below
-
None. Classes are built for all skill levels, and most people are genuinely surprised to discover how quickly their inner artist emerges.
-
Then you're exactly who I most like teaching. "I'm not artistic" is almost always something someone was told, not something they tested. Together, we’ll find that inner artist and coax them out!
-
Not every week, and that's on purpose. Some classes are for experimenting with a material with no product expected — that's where the confidence and the skills come from. The finished pieces follow, and they're better for it.
-
Same method, same room — different conversation. Technique, then exploration, then your own work. It isn't a children's curriculum scaled up — it's how anyone learns to work like an artist.
-
Structured. Every class includes instruction and demos; the freedom comes after, once you have the tools to use it well.

We’re currently offering classes for 3rd through 8th grades; as well as adult classes.

Within 14 days of the start date, bookings are non-refundable and non-creditable.

If Blue Cow cancels: If a single session is cancelled partway through a term, I'll schedule a make-up where possible.
Snow days and closures: Blue Cow follows the Dresden Interstate School District. If Hanover schools are closed for weather, or after-school activities are cancelled, our children's classes are cancelled too.
Adult classes are cancelled by phone or email before the class start time.
If Blue Cow has to cancel a session for weather, I'll try to schedule a make-up on a Saturday at the end of the term, if possible. That session would be for any adult or kids who missed class for weather that term — basically a hive of activity to make up studio time!
Missed classes: There's no credit, refund, or private make-up for a missed class, an absence, or a sick day — including when you know about it in advance.
